When should you take the GRE test?
A lot of times, candidates are confused about the right time to take the GRE test. Experts suggest that the right time to book your first GRE test date should be 60-70 days before your first university admission deadline. 1. Schedule your exam

2. Take a practice test
The GRE practice test is a key to designing a comprehensive one-month study plan.

3. Analyze your weaknesses and strengths

Important reminders for GRE test takers
- GRE General Test is offered year-round at Prometric® test centres except on weekends and designated holidays. Candidates can check the official website for more information on the same.
- ETS has recently launched the GRE test at Home provided candidates have the required system upgrades. Candidates can now appear for the GRE from the safety of their homes.
- To book your GRE Slot, candidates would be required to create an account with ETS - the conducting body of GRE and select their preferred test centre and exam day and go ahead with paying the GRE registration fee of US$228.
- Candidates should always keep their application deadline in mind before booking their GRE test. Applicants should make sure that their scores reach the college/university before the deadline. Candidates should allow 10-15 days for their GRE score reports to reach their designated score recipients.
- Candidates are eligible to take the GRE General Test once in 21 days and up to five times in a rolling 12-month period (365 days).
